Deciding which option to take for beverages comes down to how well you know your guests. There are always those members of the family that do not drink and then there are those who make up for it by drinking their share.
There are three options available to you.
On Consumption/Bar Tab
All beverages can be charged on a consumption basis. You may advise us of a figure you would like to place on the bar tab. You will be charged individually for each beverage or bottle served. As the reception continues we will come to you and advise the status of the bar tab and if necessary you can increase the tab in increments of $500 or greater. Note – All bar tabs are to be paid prior to the commencement of the event for the initial tab and as each increase is made. Any unused portion will be refunded to your credit card at the end of the event.
To semi control your bar tab we recommend limiting the variety of drinks to beer, wine, sparkling and soft drinks. Anyone requesting spirits can be asked to pay cash.
Cash Bar
You may opt for guests to purchase their own beverages from the bar. This is not recommended as it can be disruptive to the event when guests are standing at the bar rather than being seated. Please note that should you elect to have a cash bar a surcharge of $3.00 per guest will apply to cover the cost of additional labour required to run a cash bar. Should you start with a consumption bar and decide to change this to a cash bar after your initial limit has been used, a surcharge of $1.00 per person per hour will apply to retain staff to work in the bar. Prices are as follows:

Responsible Service of Alcohol
Please be aware that all staff at Kamberra Wine Company are trained in Responsible Service of Alcohol and reserve the right to refuse service to any guest they deem to be intoxicated. Spirits are not served as shots or doubles and alcohol will not be served to anybody under the age of 18. Kamberra Wine Company’s bar closes at 11.30pm unless prior written arrangements have been made with our function sales team prior to the event, please note additional labor fees apply after 11.30pm.

All packages include a selection of Kamberra Wine Company’s Meeting Place wines.
Bottled beers: Crown Lager, James Boags Premium, Carlton Draught, Carlton Natural Blonde, Cascade Premium light, fruit juice and soft drinks.
Spirits and Cocktails: Should you elect to include spirits and/or cocktails in addition to the beverage package these will be charged on consumption to a limit to be set by you.
BYO wines: Being a winery we do not carry or offer alternate wines however should you elect to bring your own wines a surcharge of $15.00 per bottle will apply.
